Minister Kim Carr has announced a new classification scheme, which will replace the TOR, RFCD and SEO. This scheme is called ANZSRC (Australia and New Zealand Standard Research Classification). The three tables that replace the old ones are updated versions to accommodate new fields and New Zealand. The equivalent of the RFCD has grown 40%. The TOR has not changed except to become the TOA (Type of Activity).
