If you happen to use 360 Search – which enables you to search several databases at once but it is preferable to search individually … really … but now 360 Search results can be easily imported into EndNote.
360 Search is available via the QUT Library homepage – access it via the Quick Article Search section on the left-hand-side of the QUT Library homepage.
If you use Internet Explorer as your web browser follow the steps below.
1) Do your 360 Search
2) Select required records
3) Choose the option to Export/Save results
4) Choose In a format compatible with EndNote, Procite etc.
5) Click Export
6) The exported records open in your browser. Click Save records.
7) Click Open (in the File download box)
EndNote will launch and ask which library you want to put the record/s in.
If you are using Mozilla Firefox as your web browser follow the steps below.
1) Do your 360 Search
2) Select required records
3) Choose the option to email results
4) Choose Compatible with EndNote, Procite etc.
5) Fill in your name, email address and Subject
6) Wait for the email. It should come with an attachment called results.ris
7) Save attachment somewhere you can find it (e.g, Desktop). (You could change results.ris to “whatever your search is about.ris”)
Open Endnote and go to File and Import
9) Select your saved search file as the input file
10) Choose the import option RefMan RIS and click Import
