Changes have been made to the database of database search algorithm used at http://www.library.qut.edu.au/find/databases/. These changes have been made to improve “Database Title” search results.
Previously, a search for “ERIC” returned all titles containing AmERICan. A search for “Informa” returned all titles containing “Information”.
If you notice any anomalies in the search results, please let eServices know.

EBSCOhost Mobile and Alerts Setup Enhancements
EBSCOhost has released a new interface for mobile users.
Note:
EBSCOhost does not automatically detect when users are connecting from a mobile device, so mobile users will need to connect via a specific URL for mobile devices: http://gateway.library.qut.edu.au/login?url=http://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?authtype=ip,uid&profile=mobile

New login method for Gartner
Please be advised that Gartner now uses EzProxy to authenticate users.
Frequent users may notice they are no longer greeted by name when they log into Gartner. Instead they are logged in as QUT and assigned a unique identifier, such as g12345678.

Cataloger’s Desktop “3.0” is now available. An overview of the modernisation project is available at http://www.loc.gov/cds/notices/desktop09.pdf
