Hindawi Publishing Open Access Journals
Hindawi Publishing publishes over 160 open access journals covering a wide range of areas in science, technology, and medicine.
For a journal title list grouped by subject go to http://www.hindawi.com/journals/

Hindawi Publishing offers Institutional Memberships to enable institutions to encourage their authors to publish their research in a Hindawi open access journal free of charge without having to administer and pay “Article Processing Charges” from their individual research budget. QUT Library has paid the membership cost for 2010 of US$3,000 per annum so if you wish to publish in a Hindawi journal in 2010 it will be free to do so.

30 QUT authors have published in Hindawi journals as at November 2009.
For the list of articles already published by QUT authors in Hindawi journals go to http://www.hindawi.com/institutions/qut.edu.au/

Other information:
When publishing in any Hindawi journals, authors retain the copyright of their articles, which are freely distributed under the “Creative Common Attribution License,” permitting the unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction of the article in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.

The current full complement of 161 Hindawi open access titles are also available in the catalogue. Just do a Title search using ‘Hindawi’ to see the list.

Remember that QUT Library, in addition to the Hindawi Publishing open access journals, pays the article processing charges for QUT authors who wish to publish in PLoS journals and BioMed Central journals in 2009 and 2010. See the individual database records for further information.
